Who Am I?

Lionel Migrino is a Filipinx Canadian photographer, storyteller, and public speaker living with cerebral palsy. His intersecting identities shape his unique perspective, fueling his passion for accessibility, equity, diversity, and justice. Through his work, Lionel challenges the status-quo, sparks dialogue, and empowers others to embrace their own narratives.

Guided by his life motto, “Limitless,” Lionel believes that obstacles should never stand in the way of adventure and ambition. Photography became his medium for connection, allowing him to capture powerful stories, amplify marginalized voices, and create spaces where people feel seen and heard. His projects, including Kwento’t Litrato, CBC Kapitbahay, Disability Pride Project, DEAM x CBC, and Hiraya, have brought visibility to underrepresented communities, reinforcing his mission to foster understanding and systemic change.

As a speaker and facilitator, Lionel brings his lived experience to the forefront, leading conversations on disability justice, mental health, anti-racism, and decolonization. With a confident and engaging presence, he has delivered workshops and keynote talks in corporate, nonprofit, and community settings, speaking to audiences of up to 500 people and appearing in local media interviews.

Lionel’s goal is not just to raise awareness but to inspire action. Whether through the lens of his camera or the power of his words, he is dedicated to building a world where inclusion is the norm, not the exception.
